Gyros

Professional gyros and kebab grills are commercial cooking appliances designed to cook meat stacked on a vertical rotating spit, using heat generated by gas burners or electric elements. Ideal for kebab shops, Greek restaurants, Turkish restaurants, fast food outlets, delicatessens, pubs, street food businesses and ethnic restaurants, they support the preparation of gyros, döner kebab, shawarma and other vertical spit-roasted meat specialities.

Commercial electric and gas gyros machines are available in different capacities and configurations, featuring vertical spits, rotation motors, heating zones, adjustable heat controls and grease collection trays depending on the model. Certain versions may include multiple independently controlled heating zones, adjustable spit positions, thermal protection and stainless steel construction. Maximum meat loading, usable spit height and heating power vary according to the appliance.

When choosing a professional gyros grill for kebab and shawarma, consider meat loading capacity in kilograms, number of heating zones, power, energy supply and dimensions. Spit rotation, adjustable distance between the meat and heating elements, cleaning access and grease management should also be assessed. Progressive cooking and slicing require particular attention to safe meat temperatures and the prevention of cross-contamination.
