Pot washer

Professional AISI 430 stainless steel pot washing sinks are designed for manually washing large pots, saucepans, cooking pans, baking trays, containers and oversized kitchen utensils in commercial kitchens, restaurants, hotels, canteens, delicatessens and food production facilities. Unlike standard commercial sinks used for tableware, pot washing sinks feature particularly large and deep washing bowls, providing more space for handling and cleaning bulky cookware. AISI 430 stainless steel belongs to the chromium-based ferritic stainless steel family and offers structural strength, easy-to-clean surfaces and good corrosion resistance under suitable operating conditions. It represents a generally more economical alternative to AISI 304 stainless steel, although selection should take into account working intensity and environmental conditions within the washing area.

The range includes single-bowl and multi-bowl commercial pot washing sinks, open-leg units, models with undershelves and configurations with rear upstands, depending on the construction features of each product. Deep washing bowls facilitate soaking, manual washing and rinsing operations involving large pots, cooking containers and kitchen equipment that may be difficult to handle in conventional sinks. Open-leg structures provide convenient access beneath the washing station and to plumbing connections, while models equipped with undershelves offer additional space for suitable utensils and working materials. Rear upstands help reduce the passage of water and residues behind the workstation. Bowl dimensions, material thickness, drainage components and accessories may vary according to the model and manufacturer.

When choosing the most suitable AISI 430 stainless steel commercial pot washing sink, important factors include internal bowl length, width and depth, usable capacity, overall dimensions, supporting frame strength, structural stability and specified maximum load capacity. Compatibility with professional taps, drain dimensions, plumbing connections and the working space required to handle heavy cookware should also be carefully evaluated. Material selection is particularly important: compared with AISI 304 stainless steel, AISI 430 offers lower corrosion resistance, especially when exposed to persistent moisture, chlorides and aggressive cleaning agents. In demanding washing environments, the suitability of the material should therefore be assessed according to actual operating conditions, with appropriate cleaning, rinsing and drying procedures adopted to help preserve the surfaces over time.
